Fur Affinity Sept 2012 - you deserve all the lols

I'm going to skip the rant and the preach and go right for the throat.

If you use Fur Affinity as your primary art submittal site, actually pay attention to what goes on with the community there, and you still have your primary artwork there, then you deserve everything that happens to your images. The site is run by scum, they have inconsistent rules, and when financial backers come calling they start mass bannings until the people funding them are happy. I've written about their incompetence before, and I'm not rehashing that, but let me propose this one thing.

When the financiers of FA called up a few weeks ago, they were upset at all the cub porn (read child porn) on the site. To keep on the good graces of the powers that be, they started mass banning and deleting images from all the sonic artists that draw porn on their site.  A community outcry went out against this change in the User Policy (or something), and then all of a sudden the site experiences a massive crash and corruption of the database, a failed raid controller card, and dead hard drives resulting in the site being inoperable for days.

I'm just saying.

-0 PS, when's the last time DA needed private backers because the child porn prevents normal modes of monetary transactions? Or remember how last week DA was offline for days because they ran everything off of one server? Or how we all got that message in our in-boxes this last spring that DA needed emergency funds or it would go offline?  Me neither. You might gripe about how you can't take familiar cartoon characters and "age" them to adult to create porn on this site, but think about it this way. You might not have your Kim Possible orgy fest, but at least all of us get a site that stays online and functional the majority of the time.
